Meet the Partners
Brian Florip
Project Manager/Site Marketer/Account Manager/Internet Pioneer
Brian gets stuff done. His years of project management experience with top companies like American Express and Target have suited him well in his role with Wavelength. Brian makes sure that all projects are completed within the allotted timeframe, within budget and are of the highest quality. During his time leading the interactive marketing department of a full-service ad agency, Brian developed Web sites, e-mail campaigns, and site marketing campaigns for organizations like Savvi Formalwear, Wellcraft Marine, Anchor Wall and Bemidji State University.
Brian’s been interested in the Internet and its marketing capabilities for almost 15 years. In fact, shortly after Al Gore invented the Internet, Brian used it to create the very first Web site for the business school at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Viki DeMars
Site Designer/Information Architect/Content Manager/Starving Artist
Viki’s got style. That style comes from an extensive formal education and training background in Web design, digital art, graphic design, information design, usability testing, and technical writing. She used every bit of this knowledge in her positions as Senior Technical Writer/Marketing Jack-of-all-Trades at Mikron and as Managing Director of the Professional Thermographers Association where she created digital art and graphics for everything from Web sites, banner ads, and HTML e-mails to coffee mugs, t-shirts, and trade show displays.
She also has a passion for communication and focusing on the needs of the user. As an Independent Consultant/Technical Communicator, she provides companies with innovative, useable and useful information solutions based on solid user-centered design principles.
With more than 20 years experience in a variety of industries, Viki has used her expertise and applied this methodology to the following areas: Strategic Planning, Usability Testing, Expert Evaluations, Project/Program Development, Information Design/Development, Technical Writing and Editing, System and User Documentation, Instructional Design and E-Learning, Technical Marketing, and of course, Web Design/Development
In her spare time, Viki puts the “free” in “freelance” by working on a seemingly never-ending list of wedding invitations, graduation announcements, and other projects for friends and family members.
Jeff Blank
Technical Manager/Server Architect/Sr. Software Developer/Evil Genius
Jeff is an expert in all the underlying technical matters that make your professionally-developed web site go. He insists, with a crazed look in his eye, that there's nothing he can't do with a database and a web server, and his nine years working as a Unix system administrator and system/database/web programmer in Michigan Technological University's Information Technology Services department back that up (as well as give him the right to that crazed look). Jeff's knack for easily and quickly forming solid technical solutions for complex projects has earned him a great deal of respect from those who depend on him—his co-workers, his superiors, and MTU's IT community.
Outside of work, Jeff co-operates Mr. Paradox Internet, a semi-formal, non-profit Internet hosting organization. Since 2004, Mr. Paradox Internet has been providing free and low-cost web and e-mail services to Jeff's and his Mr. Paradox partner's families and friends and their interests.
